rain, rain go away

I am definitely fighting the urge to order myself a pair of the new TOMS shoes. Grey is my favorite color to wear, and these look like they actually have some arch support to them (which is what kept me from ordering a pair of the original TOMS). These will be on my Christmas wishlist, for sure :)

I received my package from Alexz last week, but I am just now getting around to mentioning that (I am a bad blogger!!). The pouch is so cute, and very well made. I love it, and I'll definitely be visiting her shop again sometime in the near future.

I finished the second Sookie Stackhouse novel this morning, and I can't wait to start reading the next one (I already have it, haha). I must say, I am starting to grow more and more fond of Eric the more often he shows up in the story. Sorry to say, but I kind of like him more than Bill. We'll see...

I've been working on a couple of crocheted items this weekend. I went on a little yarn shopping spree to get a few colors I'd been wanting, and some more yarn for the blanket I'm (trying) to make for my mom.

I felt like I got pretty far, but when I look at the meager pile of granny squares I've made thus far, I realize I've got a lot more to go!!!

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I'm trying to, despite all of this rain. I've been off for the past few days from work, and I have off until Tuesday, so I'm enjoying this time to relax and do what I want for a change. It's going to pass by far too quickly, though, I'm sure!

  1. i think i sometimes tend to like eric more than bill because he doesn't seem as whiny. but bill will probably always be my fave.

  2. The shoes on your christmas wishlist are adorable!! and I love the colours of your granny squares <3

The day will come and I will try to chrochet myself again ;) there are so many cute things I have seen the last weeks =)

    have a nice weekend! :D

  3. OMG how did I not read this until now!? You look too cute with my pouch! :)

I want to try chrocheting after I get this whole knitting thing down. Maybe you're right now, maybe it's one thing or another. I'll probably just suck at both and keep to sewing hahah

And WOAH i love those shoes. I want those exact ones on my Christmas list too.
