Last night I successfully followed a German tutorial on making granny circles, and this is what I came up with. I'm really happy with the way it turned out :) You can view the tutorial here.I'm not doing anything for Halloween this year (sadface). I'm just not feeling up to it. I live on a really busy street, so kids don't trick or treat here, either. Tonight I'm just going to curl up on my couch in my pjs and crochet while watching movies.

Oh! And I almost forgot... I have been trying repeatedly without any luck to crochet a flower. I have tried Katja's tutorial, this video tutorial on Little Birdie Secrets and I simply can't get it. I end up with this horribly misshapen little lump of yarn that resembles nothing remotely similar to a flower. What I seem to be confused about is how you do 3 double crochets into the same stitch. I don't understand where this "stitch" is, exactly, and I think I am doing them in the wrong place. If anyone knows an easier tutorial, please send it my way!
